Conservatories have one big problem: they overheat in summer and lose heat in winter. The best window film for a conservatory is almost always a solar control film, prioritised on the roof glazing where most heat enters.
Start with the roof
Roof panels take the most direct sun, so treating them delivers the biggest temperature drop. Side glazing can follow, matched to its orientation — a south-facing side needs a stronger film than a shaded north side.
Choose by outcome
If the priority is heat, a high-rejection solar film is the pick. If glare on a TV or screen is the issue, an anti-glare solar film. If the conservatory is overlooked, a solar film with a privacy tint does both jobs at once.
Why not just replace the glass?
Replacing conservatory glass with solar-control units costs several times more than film and takes far longer. Film is fitted in a day, with no structural work, and delivers most of the benefit.
