How long does window film take to fit?

Most homes are done in a single day. Here's what affects the timing and what to expect.

Most window film jobs are quick: a typical home is completed in a single day, and even larger projects are phased to minimise disruption. Here's what affects the timing.

What determines the time

The number and size of windows, the film type, and access. A handful of standard windows might take a few hours; a whole house, a day; a conservatory roof or a full commercial elevation, longer or phased. We give you a clear timeframe with your quote.

The install steps

Time goes into preparation as much as application — protecting the area and meticulously cleaning each pane (the key to a flawless finish), then cutting, applying and squeegeeing the film. Rushing prep shows in the result, so we don't.

Minimal disruption

Film is applied from inside with no mess, and for businesses we work out-of-hours so there's no downtime. You can usually use rooms straight away, with a short curing period before cleaning.

The bottom line

Expect most homes done in a day, with larger jobs phased and commercial work fitted out-of-hours. Book a survey and we'll give you an exact timeframe.
